Congratulations to the LKA Representative team who won the silver medal at the EKA Senior Inter-Area competition in Nottingham on Saturday 5th March 2022.
In their morning pool they had victories over teams from the North West, South West and Welsh Korfball Associations to finish in 2nd place only losing to the Kent KA team.
The team won the semi-final against East Midlands KA by 9 goals to 5 to earn a place in the final. This resulted in a rematch against a strong Kent KA team comprising several Premier Division players.
The first part of the 30 minute final was evenly fought with London in front by 4 goals to 3 at one time. At around the 15 minute mark the score was 6 – 5 in Kent’s favour. From this point on they showed their superior strength and marched forth to be worthy winners by 22 goals to 8.
Congratulations to the London squad for winning the silver medal.
